Team India outclassed Pakistan with a dominant performance in Dubai, refusing handshakes and dedicating their emphatic 7-wicket victory to the Indian Army and Pahalgam terror attack victims.
In a fiery clash of arch-rivals, Team India delivered a commanding performance in Dubai, defeating Pakistan by 7 wickets in just 15.5 overs. From the very first ball, Pakistan’s confidence crumbled. Hardik Pandya set the tone in the second delivery by dismissing Saim Ayub, followed by Jasprit Bumrah removing Mohammad Haris in the second over. Pakistan’s middle order, including Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, and even Shaheen Afridi, failed to stand tall as Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Bumrah dismantled their batting line-up. Pakistan was bundled out for just 127 runs.

Chasing 128, Abhishek Sharma gave India an explosive start, with skipper Suryakumar Yadav holding firm after Shubman Gill’s early exit. Tilak Varma played a calm and crucial 31-run knock to stabilize the innings. In style, Suryakumar Yadav finished the chase with a six in the 15.5th over, sealing a thumping victory.
But what stood out was India’s symbolic gesture – no handshakes with Pakistan players at toss or post-match. Speaking after the match, Suryakumar dedicated the win to the Indian Army and the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack:
“This is the right moment. We stand with the families of the Pahalgam attack victims and salute the courage of our armed forces. They inspire us all, and every time we get a chance, we try to bring them joy.”
