Despite a tight purse, Royal Challengers Bengaluru played a calculated game at the IPL mini auction, successfully landing left-arm pacer Mangesh Yadav after an intense bidding battle.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) may have entered the IPL mini auction with limited funds, but their strategy stood out. The franchise stayed patient, focused strictly on its target list, and executed its plans with precision. The result was a series of cost-effective yet impactful signings that strengthened the squad.
One such notable addition is Mangesh Yadav, a young all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh. RCB identified him as a key prospect and went all out to secure his services. The franchise was involved in a direct bidding duel with Sunrisers Hyderabad before finally sealing the deal at ₹5.20 crore.

Mangesh Yadav is a 23-year-old left-arm fast bowler who has impressed with his consistency and wicket-taking ability. He is also a close associate of RCB captain Rajat Patidar, having shared the dressing room with him during their domestic cricket days. This familiarity is seen as an added advantage for his smooth integration into the RCB setup.
Fresh pace, left arm variety and plenty of promise. 🔥
