Steroids have caused pigmentation of my skin: Samantha

Samantha recently had an interaction with her fans on Instagram wherein she took their questions. A fan asked her the secret behind her fair skin and she responded by saying, “It's absolutely not clear. Chinmayi (the singer, who owns a skincare brand) is going to fix that. She has promised that she is going to make my skin glossy. Actually because of my issue (Myositis), I had to be on a lot of steroids. I had to do a lot of steroid shots. So, it really messed up my skin and gave me a lot of pigmentation. So, this is just the effect of filter guys.”

She had earlier talked about her struggle with Myositis and the treatment she is seeking for it on Instagram.

“A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don't always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with,” she mentioned in a post. 

“The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days, physically and emotionally, even when it feels like I can't handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you." She signed off the post with these words,” she expressed in the same post.
