The stranded Kannadigas were flown aboard Indigo flight 6E9198, which successfully landed at Kempegowda International Airport around 12 noon. The repatriation was overseen by Karnataka Labour Minister Santhosh Lad, who accompanied the evacuees from Srinagar. The flight carried individuals, who had been caught in the crossfire of rising regional tensions.

Upon their arrival, tight security was arranged at Terminal 1 of the airport, where the Karnataka police and airport authorities ensured a smooth and safe transition. Arrangements were made for immediate transportation and further assistance to help the returnees reach their homes safely.

State authorities have made all necessary preparations to welcome the evacuees, including medical support and counseling services. The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of all Kannadigas across the country and abroad, especially in times of crisis.

This successful airlift highlighted the efficiency of inter-agency coordination and the government's proactive stance in protecting its citizens during emergencies.
