The highly anticipated sequel Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, is now available for streaming on Prime Video India. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the horror-comedy has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film in India, earning over ₹600 crore at the box office. For those who missed the theatrical release, the movie can now be enjoyed from the comfort of home.
Stree 2 premiered in cinemas on August 14, coinciding with India’s Independence Day, and enjoyed a successful box office run. The film had previously been available on Prime Video for rental since September 27 at ₹349, but as of October 10, subscribers can access it at no additional cost.
The film continues the story from the 2018 hit Stree and is part of Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, which includes Bhediya and Munjya. In addition to Rao and Kapoor, the movie sees the return of Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi. Tamannaah Bhatia joins the cast, while Varun Dhawan makes a cameo as Bhediya.
