Stree 2 earnings surpass Rs 135 crore within just three days

Film's success was bolstered by paid previews on Wednesday

The much-anticipated horror-comedy Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is making waves at the box office, with its earnings surpassing Rs 135 crore within just three days of release. Despite a slight dip in collections on Friday, the film bounced back with strong numbers over the weekend.

Stree 2, which premiered on Independence Day, recorded an impressive growth on Saturday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film saw a 40.13 percent increase in collections, raking in Rs 44 crore. This brings the total domestic collection to Rs 135.7 crore. The film’s success was bolstered by paid previews on Wednesday, which alone brought in Rs 8.5 crore, followed by an opening day collection of Rs 51.8 crore.

Audience turnout for Stree 2 has been consistently high, with a Saturday occupancy rate of 61.96 percent. Cities like Bengaluru, Lucknow, Chennai, Jaipur, and Delhi have seen particularly strong attendance. Internationally, the film has also performed well, amassing approximately Rs 15 crore overseas.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Stree 2 also features notable performances from Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, with special appearances by Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
