Saroja Sanjeev, mother of Kannada actor Sudeep, passed away around 7 a.m. at Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar after struggling with age-related health issues, on October 20. Despite medical intervention, her condition declined, and she was unable to recover.

Sudeep, who has often shared emotional tributes to his mother at public events, recently expressed his deep affection for her during an earlier Bigg Boss Kannada episode, reflecting on her profound impact on his life and career. Known to speak fondly of his Tulu roots—Saroja’s native language—Sudeep also highlighted this connection while promoting his film Vikrant Rona, where he shared how much his heritage and family mean to him.
