Sandalwood actor and director Nanda Kishore faces serious allegations from aspiring artist Shabareesh Shetty, who claims he was cheated of ₹22 lakh. Shetty alleges that he met Kishore in 2016 and gave him the money—pledged against gold—after being promised a chance in cinema, which never materialized.

According to Shetty, Kishore repeatedly used the name of actor Kiccha Sudeep to dismiss his requests for repayment and even mocked him. He further claims that Kishore threatened to bar him from participating in the Karnataka Celebrity Cricket League (KCC), where Shetty played for two seasons, if he continued to demand his money.

Shetty, now struggling to release his completed film Ramdhuta, says he faces financial hardship and feels helpless as a small artist. He alleges that attempts to raise the issue with Sudeep were blocked and asserts that he will pursue legal action if the money is not returned. He also states that actor Shiva Rajkumar (Shivanna) has assured him that the matter will be taken up with the Film Chamber.
