Superboys of Malegaon, directed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover, made a triumphant debut at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film, starring Adarsh Gourav, Shashank Arora, and Vineet Kumar Singh, received a standing ovation from the festival's audience.

The film, produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Production, also features performances by Saqib Ayub, Manjiri Pupala, Anuj Singh Duhan, and Ali Abbas. The team walked the red carpet at TIFF, with Grover later sharing the overwhelming response on Instagram. In a video post, the crowd can be seen giving a warm standing ovation, which visibly moved Nasir Shaikh, the real-life inspiration for the film.

Superboys of Malegaon is scheduled to continue its festival circuit at the 68th BFI London Film Festival, with screenings on October 10 and 12, before its theatrical release in January 2025. It will later stream on Prime Video.

Set in Malegaon, Maharashtra, the film tells the heartwarming story of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker who rallies his friends to make a film for their community. The movie celebrates friendship, creativity, and perseverance in the face of challenges, capturing the spirit of a small town’s passion for cinema.
