In a significant development, the investigation of the Suraj Revanna’s sodomy case has been officially transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The directive came from Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) R. Hitendra, who oversees Law and Order. The government order, issued from the Office of the State Director General of Police, mandates the immediate transfer of Crime No. 92/2024, currently held by the Holenarsipura Rural Police Station in Hassan District.

The transfer order, addressed to both the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Hassan and the Director General of Police (DGP) of CID, requires that all relevant documents, including the medical examination report, be handed over to CID officials without delay. ADGP Hitendra has instructed the Hassan District SP to personally ensure the case file is delivered to CID promptly.
CID officials are preparing to take over the investigation and have been directed to conduct a thorough and detailed examination of all aspects of the case. The order emphasizes the need for a comprehensive report to be submitted upon the completion of the investigation.
The move to transfer the case to CID underscores the seriousness of the allegations against Suraj Revanna and the government's commitment to a meticulous and impartial investigation.
