Suriya's Kanguva set for OTT release on December 8 on Amazon Prime Video

Kollywood superstar Suriya's much-anticipated film Kanguva, which debuted in theaters on November 14, 2024, is all set to arrive on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming giant announced that the movie will premiere on December 8, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, with the Hindi version’s release date still under wraps.

Despite a wave of hype prior to its theatrical release, Kanguva struggled to meet audience expectations, receiving mixed reviews. The move to OTT platforms might offer the film a chance to reach a broader audience, potentially reshaping its reception.

Kanguva boasts an ensemble cast, featuring Suriya alongside Bollywood actress Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, and a special cameo by Karthi. Comedy stalwarts Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley, along with KS Ravi Kumar, also play key roles in the movie. Directed on a lavish scale by Studio Green and UV Creations, the film is scored by acclaimed music director Devi Sri Prasad.
