Constable travels long distance to kill wife
He consistently doubted wife's character
He himself in under treatment as he consumed insecticide
A police constable, who consistently doubted the character of his wife, strangled her to death after she refused to pick his phone calls.
The accused, Kishore (32), a police constable travelled all the way from Chamarajanagar to Hoskote where his wife Pratibha (24), was at her mother’s place. She had delivered a baby just 11 days ago.
Reports suggest that the accused used to check his wife’s messages all the time. Apart from checking the credentials of each and every person she spoke to, he was also apparently unhappy over her alleged movements with a couple of her male friends.
Just before a day he killed her, he had called her and rebuked her for some reason. As a result, she started crying. A worried mother asked her not to cry as it would have a bearing on the newborn.
The next day, when she checked her phone, she found that her husband had called her as many as 150 times.
The next day, Kishore approached her. He himself took insecticide and strangled her to death in her house. After confirmation of her death, he told his mother-in-law that she was dead.
Presently, he is undergoing treatment in a hospital. His condition is said to be critical.
