Neha, who had represented Karnataka in junior-level cricket and recently begun a promising career in the corporate sector, was reportedly staying with three friends at the time of her death. “She sent a good morning message, spoke to her mother, and then went silent. She had no personal problems. We’ve filed a police complaint,” her father said.

The Rao family rushed to Odisha upon hearing the news and is demanding a thorough investigation. According to Sudhindra, local police have begun collecting details and are in the early stages of the inquiry. However, there has been no official statement yet from the authorities on the exact cause of death.

Neha’s sudden passing has shocked both her professional circle and the local sports community. Her dual identity as a sportsperson and a corporate employee had made her a role model for many. As the investigation continues, her family and well-wishers are calling for justice and clarity over the tragedy that has shaken two states.
