According to the complainant, the incident occurred when he booked Swiggy’s Genie service to send keys to his flatmate. While handing over the package, the delivery agent allegedly made an inappropriate sexual remark, leaving him shocked and uncomfortable.

Disturbed by the encounter, the customer immediately reported the incident to Swiggy, demanding strict action. In response, Swiggy’s customer support assured him that they were taking the matter seriously. Following an internal review, the company blacklisted the delivery agent, effectively barring him from their platform.

The incident has sparked discussions about safety concerns for customers using gig economy services. Many online users have questioned the background verification processes for delivery personnel and called for stricter measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

While Swiggy has taken swift action, the company has not released an official statement regarding the case. Meanwhile, the customer has urged the platform to implement stronger safeguards to ensure the safety and comfort of all users.
