In a chat with ESPN, he said, "I think India have taken a risk with the squad they have picked - heavily reliant on spin, very different from Australia. But in the conditions that I have played in the Caribbean I think how you play spin is going to be a huge part of whether you succeed or not. India are the biggest threat for me with regards to who is going to win the World Cup.”

He also expressed his confidence that India would be the favourites because of the sheer amount of cricket they have played. He was referring to the just concluded IPL in which KKR won handsomely.

Currently, the Indian team is practicising hard. In their warmup game, they will face Bangladesh on June 1 while they face Ireland on June 5 as they start their campaign.

Notably, Virat Kohli is not a part of the squad currently. He is expected to join them soon.
