Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has taken down a controversial photoshoot from her Instagram after facing backlash from netizens. The photoshoot, part of designer Karan Torani’s campaign “Leela: The Illusion of Love,” featured Tamannaah portraying the Hindu goddess Radha, which sparked a wave of criticism online.

The campaign showcased Tamannaah in a vibrant orange saree, embodying the character of Radha. However, some users voiced strong objections, accusing both the actress and the designer of “sexualising” the revered goddess. The criticism prompted both Tamannaah and Torani to remove the images from their social media accounts.

In an Instagram post, Tamannaah reflected on her experience, describing it as spiritually uplifting. “There were moments when I felt a transcendent connection while embodying Radha, a divine force guiding the entire process,” she wrote, praising Karan Torani for his creativity and vision.

Despite the campaign’s artistic intent, the response was polarizing, with many netizens launching an online campaign calling for the photos to be removed. One user wrote, “Stop sexualising the purest relationship of Radha Rani and Shree Krishna for your sales!”

On the work front, Tamannaah recently impressed fans with her stunning performance in the song “Aaj Ki Raat” from Stree 2, donning an elegant green gown and showcasing her impressive dance skills.
