Bollywood and South Indian film star Tamannaah Bhatia has been officially appointed as the brand ambassador for the iconic Mysore Sandal Soap. The announcement was made by the Karnataka government, which owns the brand through the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL).

The actress, popularly known as "Milky Beauty" among fans, will represent the heritage soap brand for a term of two years and two days. The government also revealed that Tamannaah will be paid a hefty remuneration of ₹6.2 crore for the endorsement deal—a figure that has caught public attention and generated widespread buzz.
