Actor Tanuj Virwani recalled his past relationship with Akshara Haasan

Actor Tanuj Virwani recently opened up about his past relationship with Akshara Haasan and the impact it had on his current marriage to Tanya Jacob.

Tanuj and Akshara, the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, dated for four years before parting ways. Their breakup followed a controversial episode in which private photos of Akshara were leaked online. In a candid conversation, Tanuj revealed that while he remains on good terms with many of his exes, he no longer speaks to Akshara.

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tanuj explained the real reason for the estrangement. “It wasn’t the breakup itself, but the lack of support during the leaked pictures incident,” he said. “Either you believe I did it, or you don’t. In that case, you need to take a stand. But she didn’t, and that’s where I drew the line.”

Tanuj also shared how his wife, Tanya, reacted to the situation. Early in their relationship, Tanya asked him about his past with Akshara. Tanuj said he was honest with her from the beginning. “The irony is, I met Tanya around the time of the breakup. She asked about it, and I told her the truth.”

The couple, who tied the knot last December in Lonavala, is now expecting their first child.
