Taylor Swift is far more talented than Madonna: Sabyasachi

American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift recently matched a record set by singer Madonna who ruled the charts in the 80s and 90s. They both are equal in terms of the most number of No.1 singles in Australia among women. "Cruel Summers" was Taylor Swift’s eleventh No.1 hit in Australia. 

 This has prompted comparisons between the 2 stars. Renowned designer Sabsyasachi Mukherjee has also opined on this topic. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar she was asked whether she thought Taylor Swift is more talented than Madonna. “I don't think so. Taylor is a far more talented musician than Madonna will ever be. But what Madonna did was learn to package herself. I admire people who have the ability to build something out of nothing. For me, Madonna is an incredible case study in how you create business by being a great marketing genius. She had very little yet she achieved so much,” she said. This response has left many on social media startled. The video of this clip was shared on Instagram. “Why would you ask such a question to a fashion designer,” a user asked. Tastes might differ but on social media there is always scope for controversy.
