Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is bolstering its presence in Bengaluru with plans to construct a 25,000-seat office in Whitefield, a prominent IT hub. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to accommodate long-term growth and enhance its capacity for employees.
Reportedly, the IT giant recently secured a land deal in Whitefield for ₹1,625 crore, opting for a build-and-own approach for this project. Currently, TCS employs approximately 70,000 people across its Bengaluru offices, leveraging both leased and owned properties.
TCS is also growing its footprint in other cities, having inaugurated a new facility in Coimbatore recently. Meanwhile, the company is managing transitions in its revenue streams. For the December quarter, TCS reported an operating profit margin of 24.5%, reflecting strong financial performance. The company remains focused on further improving this figure in the coming months.
With its Bengaluru expansion, TCS underscores its commitment to maintaining its leadership in India’s IT sector while strengthening its global market presence.
