Telangana: Click a photo and get tomatoes free

A photographer in the Kothagudem city of Telangana had devised an innovative way to attract customers. The Photographer, Vemula Anand’s studio is near theKothagudem TSRTC bus terminal retail complex.  He is giving an irresistible offer of taking home a bag full of tomatoes for getting 8 passport size photos clicked at his studio. 

He provides a quarter kilo of tomatoes in the bag. Since the tomatoes cost Rs 200 and clicking 8 photographs cost Rs 100, the customers stand to save Rs 50 through this offer. For Anand on the other hand, even though his earnings remain lower than usual, it serves the purpose of keeping his business floating. A minimum of 8 to 10 customers have been visiting his studio ever since he published the offer.

 He said that once the prices of tomatoes drop, his deal would also cease to exist. He expects this to happen in a period of 2 to 3 months. 

   “Recently the district collectorate and all the government offices located in Kothagudem were shifted to the Integrated District Offices Complex (IDOC) near Paloncha. As a result, my business took a severe beating along with that of many others at the bus stand centre,” Anand said to India Herald.
