The aftermath of the Telangana state 12th class exam results has been marked by a heartbreaking tragedy, as reports emerge of seven students committing suicide upon receiving their grades.

Among the victims are two young girls and five young boys, all of whom succumbed within a mere 48 hours of the results being declared.

On April 24, the Telangana State Examination Board released the results of the Intermediate Public Examination 2024. In a shocking turn of events, it has been confirmed by Telangana police that seven students ended their lives in response to the grades they received.

According to police reports, all seven students had failed the examination. One of them, who had previously achieved 61.06 percent in their 11th-grade examinations, reportedly took their life after failing to meet the standards in the 12th grade.

The victims, aged between 16 and 17, employed different methods to end their lives, including hanging and drowning. They hailed from various districts including Mancherial, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Khammam, Mahbubabad, and Kollur.

This grim incident bears haunting similarities to the tragedy that unfolded in 2019 when 22 students lost their lives following the release of examination results, underscoring the urgent need for mental health support and guidance for students navigating academic pressures.
