Tension arose at a multinational company’s factory in the Bidadi Industrial area after pro-Pakistan slogans were found written on restroom walls. The incident pictures went viral on social media sparking protests from Kannada organizations the following day. The graffiti, written in Kannada, included phrases like “Pakistan Jai” and “Victory to Pakistan”, along with derogatory remarks targeting Kannadigas.

Outraged by the incident, various Kannada groups gathered outside the factory on Saturday, demanding immediate action against the culprits. Police quickly responded, inspecting the restroom and discussing the matter with factory management and employees.
They also reviewed the CCTV footage to identify the potential suspects, suspecting that the perpetrators might be insiders, given the factory's large workforce of over 3,000 people.
In response, the factory management issued a notice warning employees against such actions. The Bidadi police have filed a case under Section 196 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for actions promoting division, and Section 353(2) for spreading false or inflammatory statements. Relevant sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act have also been invoked. Investigations are ongoing.
