Amid these rising tensions, Pakistan’s close ally Turkey has openly expresses support for Pakistan. In a significant move, a Turkish Navy warship has docked at the Karachi port, signaling strategic backing for Pakistan at a crucial time.
This development comes as a disappointment for India, which had extended wholehearted assistance to Turkey during its devastating earthquake not long ago. India had provided emergency aid, relief supplies, and rescue teams as part of its humanitarian efforts.
However, Turkey’s current stance is being seen as a betrayal of goodwill especially when diplomatic relations are most critical. Its open alignment with Pakistan in such a volatile context raises concerns over shifting geopolitical dynamics and the loyalties of global partners.
India now finds itself having to reconsider its diplomatic ties with Turkey, especially given the latter's visible tilt toward Pakistan during a period of extreme regional sensitivity.
