Terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir claims 10 lives; 33 others seriously injured

As the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was underway in Delhi, an incident of terrorism has shocked the nation. The incident occurred in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir during evening on June 9th. Travellers in a bus were the targets of the attack. 

This has been the first major terror attack in the Kashmir valley in recent times. 10 people have died as a result of this incident. 33 others have sustained grievous injuries.

The 53-seater bus was headed from the Shiv Khori temple. At 6:15 PM, the bus was hit by a series of bullets aimed at the bus. This caused the bus to lose a sense of direction and fall into a gorge. “The culprits of this dastardly attack will not be spared and will face the wrath of the law. The local administration is working on a war footing to provide immediate medical attention. May the Almighty give the loved ones of the deceased the strength to bear this pain. I also pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah stated. How the Indian Army will respond to this situation remains to be seen.
