If his tweet is to become true, Elon Musk may visit India soon amid talks doing rounds on Tesla coming to India.
To a tweet posted by DogeDesigner that read, ''I'm planning to visit India next year" with a morphed image of Elon Musk in Indian attire, Musk replied to it by writing ''I look forward to it''.
Musk had announced his decision on visiting India after he met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York during PM’s recent visit to the US in June 2023.
PM Modi had extended his invitation to Elon Musk to visit India and Musk had said that he is tentatively planning to visit India in 2024.
The news of Musk visiting India is coming at a time when there are a lot of talks going around that Tesla may soon come to India.
Musk had told that Tesla will be in India as soon as it is humanly possible. He had also thanked the prime minister for extending his support and said that they hopefully will make some important announcements in the near future.
The Indian government had extended its support to Tesla to set up EV plant in India and also invest money in electric mobility and commercial space sectors.
Earlier, the Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari, had also said that Tesla is welcome to set up an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in India.
