The much-anticipated launch of Kollywood superstar Vijay's 69th film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, kicked off with a grand celebration in Chennai. The movie, produced by KVN Productions, marks the debut of the Bengaluru-based production house in Tamil cinema. Headed by Venkat K. Narayan, the film is expected to be a high-budget project, boasting a multi-crore investment.

Directed by H. Vinoth, Thalapathy 69 has created a buzz, not only because of its stellar cast but also due to speculations that this could be Vijay’s final film before venturing into politics. There are also rumours that the film will touch upon political ideologies, adding to its significance.
Vijay, reuniting with actress Pooja Hegde after their last collaboration in Beast, will lead the cast. Alongside them, Malayalam actress Mamita Baiju and Bollywood actor Bobby Deol are set to play key roles, with Bobby Deol stepping in as the antagonist. Fans are also excited to see Vijay and Prakash Raj share the screen again, following their success in films like Ghilli and Pokiri.
Rumours suggest that Vijay is being paid a massive ₹275 crores for his role in Thalapathy 69, further fueling anticipation. KVN Productions shared photos of the lavish opening ceremony on social media, creating a wave of excitement among Vijay’s fans. With filming set to begin immediately, the buzz around Thalapathy 69 continues to grow.
