During inspections, it was found that artificial colors were being added to enhance the visual appeal and flavor of the ice cream. Additionally, some manufacturers were reportedly using detergent powder to achieve a creamy texture. This has sparked alarm among health experts, who warn of the potential adverse effects of consuming such additives, particularly in children.
The investigation also uncovered unsanitary conditions at several ice cream production facilities. As a result, the authorities have issued notices to 97 shops and ice cream units for failing to meet food safety standards. Doctors have raised concerns about the long-term health risks posed by these practices, urging the public to exercise caution.

The authorities have promised to take strict action against those found violating safety norms, aiming to ensure public health and safety.
