Creating a film rich in VFX is a monumental challenge, but Nag Ashwin assembled an impressive team to bring his vision to life. The film's visual effects were crafted by renowned studios Prime Focus DNEG and The Embassy Visual Effects, with additional collaboration from StealthWorks Taiwan, Folks VFX, Lola Visual Effects, Pixstone Images, and Labyrinth.

DNEG and The Embassy which is known for its work on major films like Captain America, The Hunger Games, and Iron Man, took on the Herculean task of creating the film's environments and action sequences. The Embassy handled approximately 700 shots, while DNEG was responsible for the principal visual effects and CGI shots. Their efforts included the creation of a desert wasteland, futuristic vehicles for high-speed chases, and the three worlds of Kasi, Shambhala, and the Complex.

One of the standout creations in Kalki 2898 AD is "BUJJI", a character brought to life not through AI visuals but through intricate development by the Mahindra Team, adding a layer of realism.

Despite some criticisms about certain dialogue and scenes, the film's famous action sequences and scattered visual effects have been widely praised. These elements come together to demonstrate the incredible masterpiece that Nag Ashwin has created. Kalki 2898 AD has propelled Indian cinema into a new realm, showcasing a level of production that stands on par with international movies in the genre.

Nag Ashwin's visionary direction and the phenomenal work of the VFX teams have set a new benchmark for Indian cinema, promising an exciting future for high-production films in the industry.
