Prithviraj Sukumaran opens up on The Goat Life

The movie is slated to release this 28th

The movie is a multilingual one

NewsFirst Prime caught up with Prithviraj Sukumaran, ahead of the release of the multilingual movie The Goat Life this 28th.

The versatile actor spoke at length about a myriad of issues including the character he is playing in the movie, the rigours he had to undergo to get into the skin of the character, the shoot that took place in a desert involving extreme temperatures like heat and cold. He also paid rich tributes to the director Blessy and his acumen in directing such a movie.

On dubbing the Kannada part:

I don’t know Kannada like I don’t know Telugu as well. I am sure my Kannada is not perfect. I am blessed with an affinity for languages. I get as close as possible to it.

How about The Goat Life?

It is one of the biggest movies. It has been a 16-year-long journey. I don’t know if there is any other movie that has a storyline like the one this movie has. It’s a giant package. I hope it pays off.

On agreeing to make a movie based on a novel

Malayalam movies have a history of taking up literature and making movies out of it. But it is not just a story. It is a real-life story. The novel was a smash hit as the story was inspiring. We all thought it should be made into a movie.

On makeup for the movie

Our artists used to take 1 ½ hours to apply makeup on me. As many as 4 people used to work simultaneously on my body. Later, they used to take another hour to remove it.
