In his message, written in Hindi, the Prime Minister expressed profound respect for Dr. Hedgewar and Guruji (Golwalkar), stating he felt "overwhelmed" visiting the memorial that preserves their memories. He highlighted the site's dedication to Indian culture, nationalism, and organization, noting it serves as an inspiration for national service. PM Modi emphasized that the dedication and hard work of the great personalities associated with the memorial provide energy to millions of volunteers committed to serving the nation. He concluded with a wish for the continued glory of Mother India through collective efforts.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit to the Smruti Mandir, located in Nagpur's Reshimbagh area, which serves as the administrative headquarters of the RSS. The visit coincided with the Sangh’s Pratipada programme, marking Gudi Padwa, the beginning of the Hindu New Year.

This visit holds historical significance as it marks the first time a sitting Prime Minister has visited the RSS headquarters. RSS ideologues welcomed the visit, dismissing any notions of discord between the Sangh's leadership and the Prime Minister.

In addition to his visit to the Smruti Mandir, PM Modi paid respects to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi, the site where Ambedkar embraced Buddhism with his followers in 1956. He also laid the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, an extension of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre, established in memory of Golwalkar.

Prime Minister Modi's engagements in Nagpur underscore his commitment to honoring India's cultural and historical legacies while promoting initiatives aimed at national development and unity.
