In a boon for movie enthusiasts, ticket prices for the blockbuster film Pushpa 2: The Rule have been reduced following its phenomenal box office performance. The initial release saw ticket prices soar due to special permissions granted by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments. For the December 4 premiere, prices reached ₹800, with rates exceeding ₹1,000 in some locations. Regular shows during the opening weekend were priced steeply, with multiplex tickets at ₹500 and single-screen tickets over ₹300, sparking discontent among fans.

In response, producers announced that ticket prices would be adjusted to more affordable levels, a move anticipated to draw even larger audiences to theaters. Starting this week, revised rates have been implemented. Between December 9 and 16, an additional hike of ₹105 for single screens and ₹150 for multiplexes remains in effect, but prices are still considerably lower than premiere rates.

The pricing adjustment underscores efforts to balance profitability with audience satisfaction, ensuring Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office while reaching a wider fanbase.
