As excitement peaks for the high-voltage IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings, the Bengaluru City Police have stepped up security measures to ensure celebrations remain within the legal boundaries. With RCB fans eagerly anticipating a historic win, law enforcement is preparing to curb any potential disturbances.

The city police have clearly stated that celebrations must be peaceful and should not violate public order. Any unruly behavior, including blocking roads, burning tyres, obstructing traffic, or causing public nuisance in the name of celebration, will lead to strict legal action. Police teams have been deployed in key high-traffic and fan-dense areas such as MG Road, Koramangala, Indiranagar, and around the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
With many screenings of the IPL final planned across pubs, hotels, and open spaces, these locations will be under close watch by uniformed officers to prevent crowd-related issues. Additional forces have been assigned to areas where large gatherings are expected.
Furthermore, the police are keeping a close eye on social media platforms. Posts that incite unrest, share offensive or provocative content, or promote irresponsible fan behavior will be flagged and dealt with. Authorities have warned against posting videos of public disorder or acts of vandalism, stating that digital evidence could be used for prosecution.
City pubs, clubs, and premium hotels have also been directed not to extend operating hours beyond legal limits, even with the final running late into the night.
The Bengaluru Police urge citizens to enjoy the game with passion, but without crossing legal or moral boundaries.
Celebration is welcome, but chaos is not.
