The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) admitted to administrative lapses following a stampede during ticket distribution that claimed six lives. Speaking at a press conference, TTD Chairman B.R. He revealed that the incident occurred when the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) prematurely opened a gate, leading to chaos.

Naidu assured that the TTD would extend full support to the affected families and ensure top-quality medical care for the injured. "We will receive the police investigation report by evening and consult with the Chief Minister to decide the next course of action," he stated.
The Andhra Pradesh government has announced compensation of ₹25 lakh for each deceased's family. Home Minister Anita expressed her condolences and emphasized the government's commitment to supporting the victims. However, dissatisfaction among devotees persists, with demands for compensation of ₹1 crore per family.
The stampede has drawn widespread criticism, with devotees questioning the preparedness of the authorities in managing large crowds. The incident has also prompted calls for a comprehensive review of safety measures during major events at Tirupati, one of the most visited religious sites in the country.
TTD's commitment to addressing the issue and the government's compensation announcement signal the first steps toward accountability and relief for those affected by the unfortunate incident.
