Toby trailer crosses 6 million views on YouTube

The much anticipated trailer of Toby was released on YouTube on August 5th. It is written by Raj Shetty who also plays the role of the protagonist,the titular character of Toby. The film also stars other reputed actors such as Chaithra J Achar, Samyuktha Horanadu, Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Raj Deepak Shetty. The film is being produced by KVN Productions. 

The film would definitely remind viewers of Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana which too was written by Raj Shetty. He had also played the role of the protagonist, Shiva in the film. The trajectories of the characters are also quite similar. A dialogue in the trailer states,” Yaavdhe karanaku kuri mathe oorige kaal idbaardu, kuri hinde bandre adhu kuriyag iralla, maari yaag irathe.” (At any cost, the sheep should not set its foot back in the village. If the sheep returns, it won’t remain a sheep, it would have turned into the goddess of death). This could be seen as a reference to the trajectory of the character of Toby who undergoes a radical change in personality after an incident. The trailer indicates something along those lines. In Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana as well, Shiva undergoes a similar transformation.

Raj Shetty thanked the audience for their acceptance and adoration of the character after the trailer had crossed 5 million views.
