Ejipura flyover in Bengaluru is set to open by July 2026; land acquisition is underway, with officials closely monitoring progress
The long-delayed Ejipura flyover project in Bengaluru is now projected to be completed by July 2026, according to recent updates from local authorities. The infrastructure initiative, aimed at easing traffic congestion in one of the city’s busiest corridors, has gained momentum following judicial intervention and renewed administrative focus.
The Karnataka High Court has issued directives concerning the land acquisition process, a key hurdle that has slowed progress over the years. These orders are expected to streamline the acquisition of remaining parcels, enabling smoother execution of construction activities.

Local officials, including project overseer Rao, have confirmed that work is actively underway and is being closely monitored to ensure adherence to the revised timeline. Rao emphasized that the administration is committed to resolving bottlenecks and accelerating the pace of development.
Despite ongoing challenges, particularly around land procurement, authorities remain optimistic about meeting the July 2026 deadline. The flyover is anticipated to significantly improve connectivity between Ejipura and surrounding areas, reducing travel time and easing vehicular movement.
Once operational, the flyover will serve as a vital link in Bengaluru’s urban transport network, offering relief to commuters and contributing to the city’s broader infrastructure goals. Regular updates are expected as the project progresses through key milestones.
