A horrific road accident near Shivganga Petrol Pump, located in Hoolkere Taluk, claimed the lives of four people, including two young children. The tragic incident occurred when a speeding car collided with a tractor from behind. Among the victims were a 60-year-old woman, Ganga, her 30-year-old daughter-in-law Kavya, her 2-year-old granddaughter Hansika, and an 11-month-old grandson.

The family was traveling in the car when the accident took place. The tractor was heading towards Hoolkere, and the car was approaching from behind at high speed. Unfortunately, the tractor had no reflective markers, which prevented the driver, Yashwanth, from spotting it in time. The collision was so severe that the car was wrecked, and all passengers in the car lost their lives on the spot.
Yashwanth, who was driving the car, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the district hospital for medical treatment. The police from Chitrahalli Police Station have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident, especially focusing on the lack of reflective markers on the tractor.
