Trailer of Shahrukh Khan starrer Jawan released on YouTube

The prevue of the film Jawan had already generated ample interest among fans who had embraced Shahrukh Khan as an action hero in Pathaan earlier this year. However there was a lack of clarity about specifics of the characters and the theme of the film. The trailer offers a brief glimpse in this regard. 

The foremost question amongst fans was regarding the multiple avatars of Shahrukh Khan. The film appears to be spread across multiple timelines. One of them features Shahrukh Khan as a young military officer. Deepika Padukone is possibly a part of this timeline. An older version of the character appears in a Khaki uniform and is involved in scenes with Tamil actress Nayanthara. The bald version of Shahrukh is involved in the hijacking of a metro train in Mumbai. Sanya Malhotra is part of this sequence. The antagonist played by Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi also appears across both timelines and is apparently an arms dealer. Nayanthara also appears as a negotiator to deal with the hijacking incident. The trailer promises an ample amount of action, comic relief and romance. It also appears to deal with a case of illegal arms deal putting the life of soldiers at risk. Shahrukh faces multiple failures in the process of stopping the antagonist and takes to hijacking as a final resort.
