Actor Mansoor Ali Khan who was caught amidst a controversy over a statement in a media interaction has filed a defamation suit against actress Trisha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Khushboo Sundar and Tollywood star Chiranjeevi over comments made on social media over his statements. “I submit that the Defendants herein have rushed to make defamatory statements about me for the public to see without properly verifying/ascertaining the true and proper sequence of events that had occurred with me. I submit that I have not uttered any wrong statement against any persons personally, but merely had commented on the on the negative shades that I had played, which has off-late become a vanishing trend and no longer in vogue and no personal comments had ever been made about the defendant or any other women in particular,” his sue application mentioned.

Mansoor had expressed disappointment at not having got a “rape scene” with Trisha in Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo. Trisha had labelled Mansoor as a misogynist. “My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha. The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion. I stand with Trisha and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments,” Chiranjeevi posted on X.
