Donald Trump may be preparing to enter the tech world, as two new trademark applications suggest plans for a Trump-branded mobile phone and telecom network. Filed on June 12 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) by DTTM Operations LLC — the entity managing Trump’s trademarks — the applications include brand names ‘TRUMP’ and ‘T1’. The filings mention a range of products and services, including mobile phones, phone accessories, wireless telecom services, and even physical retail stores.

The applications were submitted under an “intent-to-use” basis, meaning Trump’s company has not yet launched the products, but has made a formal declaration of genuine plans to do so. A lawyer for the Trump Organization signed a sworn statement confirming this intent. Trademark attorney Josh Gerben, who first reported the filings, noted that while such trademarks don’t guarantee a launch, the level of detail indicates serious business consideration.
If the venture proceeds, it would represent a significant shift from Trump’s established business interests in real estate, hospitality, and political branding. The move also raises speculation about whether the former president intends to leverage his loyal following in a new market. For now, the filings have sparked intrigue, with observers watching to see whether Trump will indeed dial into the competitive telecom sector.
