TVS Motor Company announced a ₹2,000 crore investment in Karnataka over the next five years to establish a global capability centre and enhance production.

Under an agreement with the Karnataka government, TVS will expand its manufacturing and engineering operations in Mysuru, develop a test track, and set up a new office infrastructure. The announcement was made by Managing Director Sudarshan Venu at the Global Investors Meet (GIM), Invest Karnataka 2025.

Venu highlighted the company's vision to create a hub for top talent and innovation. “The capability centre will be the birthplace of next-gen bikes, bringing together engineers, designers, AI and ML experts to define the future of mobility,” he said.

The investment aligns with TVS’s 2030 goals, aiming to drive advancements in personal and commercial mobility. The company, now the world's fourth-largest two-wheeler manufacturer with 58 million global users, credited government support for its success.

TVS’s Mysuru plant, employing over 3,500 people, currently produces 1.5 million two-wheelers annually, serving both domestic and international markets. Export revenues from the facility exceed ₹1,200 crore out of a total ₹7,600 crore. With the new initiatives, TVS aims to double its exports and overall revenues from Mysuru.

Apart from Mysuru, TVS operates factories in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, further strengthening its production network in India.
