A tragic incident marred a road show by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the Lalpuram highway near Etukuru in Guntur district, as two YSRCP supporters lost their lives in separate incidents on Saturday.

In a shocking accident, Cheeli Singhaiah (55), a resident of Vengalayapalem village, was crushed to death under the convoy vehicle in which Jagan Mohan Reddy was travelling. According to eyewitnesses, Singhaiah tried to approach the former CM to offer flowers amidst a large crowd of party workers and supporters. Amid the chaos, he reportedly slipped and fell under the wheels of the moving vehicle. The crowd was too loud for anyone to hear his cries for help. He was rushed to Guntur Government Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.

The horrifying moment was caught on video and is now circulating widely on social media, raising questions about crowd management at political events.

In a separate incident, P. Jayawardhana Reddy (30), another YSRCP supporter, collapsed and died due to the overcrowding near the Sattenapally clock tower, also during the road show.

The back-to-back fatalities have sparked grief among supporters and triggered criticism over inadequate safety arrangements at the rally. Police have launched an investigation into both incidents.
