Bengaluru witnessed a grim road accident on the Devanahalli-Kolar highway as two teenagers, Arbaz Pasha, 18, and N Manoj, 16, lost their lives in a collision on Friday morning.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. when Pasha, who had borrowed a Honda Dio scooter from a neighbor in Rahmat Nagar, attempted a stunt while riding with his friend Manoj near Doddaballapur bypass. Pasha's attempt to perform a wheelie turned fatal as he lost control and collided head-on with a canter truck approaching from the opposite direction.

The impact was catastrophic, splitting the scooter into two and throwing the teenagers nearly 30 meters from the crash site. Pasha died on the spot, while Manoj was rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Neither of the boys was wearing a helmet at the time, according to police reports. CCTV footage from nearby establishments captured the tragic accident, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.
Authorities have filed a case against Pasha under sections related to rash driving and negligence. While initial findings attribute the accident to the teenagers' reckless actions, police are also examining the truck driver's role.
The tragic incident highlights the dangers of stunt riding and the importance of adhering to road safety measures, including wearing helmets and exercising caution on highways. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
