In two separate incidents of carelessness, two youngsters died because of overeating and self-medication.
In an incident relating to neglect and carelessness, a young man who resorted to YouTube to get relief for his toothache, died after following an advisory from watching a YouTube video.
Ajay Mahto of Jharkand is the youth who allegedly succumbed to death after consuming oleander seeds as a remedy for his toothache after watching it as a remedy on a YouTube video. Oleander seeds are believed to be dangerous and life-threatening if consumed.
Self-medication is not always advisable to treat any ailment. Consultation from doctors is highly recommended.
In another similar incident of carelessness in Bihar, a youth died of mindlessly overeating over his friends’ bid to reward the one who ate highest number of momos.
Vipin Kumar, a youth from Bihar ate around 150 momos in an attempt to win his friends’ competition bid and succumbed as he consumed over 100 momos one after the other.
Youngsters must exercise carefulness and caution while they take on challenges that are thrown at them. To youngsters, their young blood and youthfulness may mindlessly push them to take on challenges. But, only a few realise and are cautioned about the life-threats that such challenges pose to them.
