Dr. C.N. Manjunath, a prominent cardiologist, provided insights into the minister’s condition during an interview with Newsfirst. Dr. Manjunath mentioned that Kumaraswamy, who has a history of heart surgery, may experience side effects from the medication prescribed for his cardiac condition. "Nosebleeds can occur infrequently as a side effect of certain medications taken post-heart surgery," explained Dr. Manjunath. "This is generally not a cause for alarm, as the pills are intended to prevent blood clotting."
While such nosebleeds can sometimes be associated with high blood pressure, Dr. Manjunath confirmed that Kumaraswamy’s blood pressure was normal at the time of the incident. He also noted that infections in the nasal passages could be another potential cause, although this was not the case for the minister.
Medical professionals who closely monitored Kumaraswamy's condition, ensuring his stability and recovery discharged him from the hospital. The incident has raised awareness about the potential side effects of heart medication, emphasizing the need for vigilance among patients with similar medical histories.
