Upendra directorial UI's teaser released; garners 2.5 million views

The teaser of Upendra’s directorial UI was released by Lahari Films on YouTube on 18th September and has received more than 25 lakh views and 1 lakh views within one day. The standout feature of the teaser was that there were no visuals from the movie featuring in the 2 minute duration. The auditory experience however was specially designed to enhance the component of horror the film entails. 

“This is not AI world, This is UI world, to escape, use your intelligence,” the final dialogue of the teaser proclaims foreshadowing to the viewer the sort of an experience they can expect in the theatres. The film is envisioned to be a Pan-India movie. 

Entertainment blogger Bhargavi Chandrashekar posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) about this update. 

“From a technical standpoint, it's quite impressive. It had me reminiscing about the vivid imagery one conjures while reading a novel, and that feeling was replicated while watching the teaser. The narration and the way Upendra manipulated audio elements were truly outstanding,” she stated. 

“Some may argue that it employs cheap gimmicks, relying on old tricks that won't resonate with this generation. However, I appreciate the attempt to break away from the tried-and-true formula,” she added.
