In a positive development for Indians residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Digital RuPay Credit Cards and Debit Cards can be used to withdraw cash across the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is currently in Abu Dhabi was a witness to this agreement between the two nations.President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held bilateral talks with the Indian Prime Minister. The decision to interlink instant payment systems was finalised with signatures during the talk. Transactions can be conducted via the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) prevalent in India. “Brother, it is also a matter of happiness that today we are (signing) the bilateral investment treaty... I believe that this will be big news for the G20 countries that India and UAE are moving forward in this important direction,” PM Modi said during his interaction with the President of UAE. 

Modi will inaugurate the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Mandir on February 14th. This would be the first Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi. “I will also inaugurate the first Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. The BAPS temple will be an enduring tribute to the values of harmony, peace and tolerance, which both India and the UAE share,” the prime minister said.
