Every time the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service Examination (CSE) results are announced, stories inspiring hope and promoting the value of hardwork can be seen. One such instance has become viral on social media. Kshitij Gurbhele, an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorke graduate secured a rank of 441 in the examination. 

It is the manner in which he disclosed the information to his father that has won everyone’s heart. He walked in on his father when he was having lunch with his colleagues and said, “Do you not know that when a senior officer walks in, you have to stand up.” The father was elated, hugged him and showered him with kisses.

Kshitij posted about this incident on his Instagram handle. “This is how I delivered the UPSC CSE 2023 result to my father, who was casually having lunch with his colleagues at his office. It took two years of hard work for this very special moment. Forever grateful to Mummy, Papa, and Didi for being the only constant in this journey,” the caption mentioned. The post received more than 28 lakh views within 3 days of having been posted. The comment section was filled with congratulatory notes.
