The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 on April 22. This prestigious exam, the toughest in India, has selected 1009 candidates for various elite government services. These include the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services in Group ‘A’ and ‘B’.

This year, Shakti Dubey from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh has achieved the All India Rank 1 (AIR 1), emerging as the top scorer in the examination. Following her are Harshita Goyal at Rank 2 and Dongre Archit Parag at Rank 3. These top candidates have demonstrated exceptional dedication, knowledge and perseverance to secure their positions among the nation’s future bureaucratic leaders. 

The successful candidates will now move on to the next phase of their journey which is the formal training at Mussoorie. IAS officers will undergo foundational training at the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. IPS officers will be trained at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad. Those allocated to other services will attend respective academies designed to equip them for their roles in governance and public services.
