Monty's family had claimed the body on September 13th

Monty was spotted in Chandigarh

Meerut police would be retrieving the body from the family

On 9th September a body with  its head and hands cut off was found in the drainage in Meerut. The police were unable to identify the deceased individual. 

However, on the 13th of September, the family members of Monty had come forward to claim the body. Monty was missing from the 28th of August. Along with Monty, his girlfriend Akansha was also missing. It was suspected that the family members of Akansha had executed the murder over the affair. 

However in a major turn of events, Monty was spotted with his girlfriend in Chandigarh. Monty’s relatives had erred in the identification of the body. The Meerut police would be retrieving the body from them. The identity of the body still remains unclear.

It is being suspected that the body is of someone in their 20s. The body was found under a culvert on the Baparsa road near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University (SVPAU) under Daurala police circle in Meerut. There were no wounds found on the body. Traces of blood were however found around the body. It was estimated that the body was in the drinks for a period of 2 days when it was discovered. The body was sent for a post mortem.
